Reform UK’s chairman Richard Tice is up next – the man who was replaced as leader of the party yesterday by his long-term political ally Nigel Farage. <\/p>\n

He is asked by ITV’s Anushka Asthana who told him he was out as leader. Tice dodges her question and says with Farage at the helm the party has put “rocket boosters” on its campaign. <\/p>\n

“I’m delighted that Nigel is getting stuck in,” Tice says.<\/p>\n

Asked about the party’s plans on immigration <\/strong>and gaps in the NHS<\/strong>, Tice says immigration needs to be frozen<\/strong>, adding that there should be a focus on training “our own people” in healthcare.<\/strong><\/p>\n

On climate change,<\/strong> Tice says it is cheaper to “adapt to climate change”<\/strong>, and “foolish thinking you can stop the power of the sun”. <\/p>\n

For context: <\/strong><\/em>Experts say the world has already warmed by about 1.1C since since the industrial era began and temperatures will keep rising unless governments around the world make steep cuts to emissions.<\/em><\/p>\n

The conversation then moves on to the conflict in Gaza. <\/p>\n

Tice says Israel has the right to defend itself<\/strong> but that it has to make “careful judgments<\/strong>“, adding: “We have to get rid of Hamas”.<\/p>\n

Asked who won the ITV debate between Starmer and Sunak earlier, he says neither and describes it as “dull”. <\/p>\n
