McDonald’s unable to serve food after system outage

Fast food chain McDonald’s is experiencing technical problems in its restaurants, leaving customers unable to order food.

In Japan the company apologised for any inconvenience, posting on social media and asking customers to “wait a while” while service was restored.

Users on social media also reported problems in other countries including the UK, Australia and New Zealand.

The BBC has approached McDonald’s for comment.
